Description
The DE-2 is a battery-operated decontamination device that is mounted on a trolley (rudl) in a metal stainless steel housing and equipped with an application gun with interchangeable nozzles of different intensities. Underneath the casing is an 18 l plastic decontaminant container, an electric liquid pump and a 12 V LI-Ion battery which serves as a power source. The battery can be easily replaced or recharged if necessary during operation. The pressure in the application gun is regulated automatically by a pressure sensor in the pump, which maintains a constant pressure of up to 7 bar in the hose behind the pump. The entire applicator assembly is mounted on a lightweight duralumin two-wheel trolley to allow the assembly to be easily moved. The unit is equipped with a single-mode decontamination nozzle with interchangeable nozzle tips. The nozzle tips have different characteristics to allow, for example, different droplet size, decontamination cone shape, reach, etc.
